Situated in Leicester, Catherine Infant School is a vibrant four-form entry infant school. Our school was recognised by Ofsted as being Outstanding in 2019.
At Catherine Infant school, over 90% of our pupils speak English as an additional language and begin their school journey with little to no experience of storytelling. Talk for Writing’s focus on oral storytelling has allowed our pupils to build a strong language bank so that they now thrive as storytellers, writers and readers.
Combining our curriculum with Talk for Writing has exposed pupils to high-quality, diverse texts and this has had a transformative impact on our pupils’ engagement, confidence and excitement about writing than ever before.
