Emma Mann Talk for Writing Trainer

Emma is a keen advocate of Talk for Writing and is passionate about its impact on children’s reading and writing.

She has played a key role in the development of Talk for Writing at Penn Wood Primary School in Slough and currently leads English. Penn Wood serves a socially and economically deprived community and through the successful implementation of Talk for Writing, the school has raised standards in all subject areas.

Through involvement in Talk for Writing research projects with Pie, Emma has explored the use of TfW techniques in curriculum areas beyond English, as well as developing progression within Writers toolkits.

Emma has presented at conferences for large audiences and can provide bespoke INSET & training. Training can be provided at Penn Wood so that delegates can see Talk for Writing in action or in other school contexts.
