TfW Primary Consultant
Jamie Grossmith is based in Lincolnshire. He is available for training in Lincolnshire, East Yorkshire, Norfolk, Cambridgeshire and the East Midlands.
Jamie is the Lead Practitioner at Belmont Primary School in Grantham.
He was first introduced to Talk for Writing when he worked with Pie on the NLS pilot back in 2008. Since then, he has successfully used Talk for writing to raise English standards in two different primary schools. In his work as a Lead Literacy Teacher and a Specialist Leader of Education, Jamie has often supported schools in challenging circumstances. His enthusiasm for all aspects of Talk for Writing inspires, motivates and engages teachers and children alike.
Jamie is still classroom based, this allows him to develop teaching sequences and share outcomes with others through training. He demonstrates an excellent understanding of how Talk for Writing can be used to transform the life chances of children. Jamie has also worked with Pie trialling Teaching Live over the past year.
Jamie can offer everything from personalised mentoring programs for individual teachers and/or leaders, to whole school professional development insets and packages. Training can focus on anything from current and practical Talk for Writing advice and tips, formative assessment strategies to developing whole school planning and the strategic dissemination of the approach.
